Dear Friend: In September, our friend, relative and neighbor, Kathie Wild, was diagnosed with leukemia. A lifelong resident of Ramsey, Kathie has been an active member of many community organizations, including Cub Scouts, Ramsey Soccer Association, Ramsey Baseball Association, and for the last five years, the Ramsey Ambulance Corps. Kathie is carrying on the family tradition in serving our community. Her father, Ray Vogel, was a founding member of the Ambulance Corps more than fifty years ago. Fortunately, Kathie has been responding well to treatment. However, as you know, the medical costs involved can be enormous and Kathie had to leave her job with the Ramsey After School Program due to her illness. As a result, Kathie needs our help and support. How can you help? “Friends of Kathie” will be hosting a beefsteak dinner on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Adorno Father’s in Ramsey from 6-10:30pm. The evening will include dinner and live music as well as a 50/50 and basket raffle. We are asking for your support to meet our fund raising goal, so we can assist Kathie and her family with the increasing medical bills as she continues treatment. We are asking for an in-kind donation to be included in our basket raffle. Tickets to the event are also available for $50 each. Checks can be made payable to “Fund for Kathie”.
