Our Mission
'It isn't easy to define Ramsey Responds. You could call it a "niche"
organization that helps people who have fallen through the cracks. Or a
Referral agency. A non-profit an fund raising group, or a group that works
with others to unify the community. In fact, it's all of these things and
more, and its members have been at is for almost five years now...'
'What is most noteworthy about Ramsey Responds is the degree to which such a
loosely-knit organization can get so much good work done by taking advantage of
all the organizations within a community. In this way, Ramsey Responds
serves not only to help families or individuals, but works to make the borough a
place of greater connection and unity.' (Suburban News, Gina
Perfetto)

Dear Residents,
There is a small volunteer group in town known as Ramsey Responds... not more
than twenty or so core members, but so much more in reality,
In our own way, we reflect the goodness, generosity, cooperation, and
kindness of the whole community. We are there to serve with affection, concern
and commitment those whose lives have been threatened or altered by illness, job
loss, divorce or other circumstances
This year alone we have had Holiday Gift Giving, Clothing and Food drives,
Mother's Day Remembrances, and Fundraisers that have afforded us the opportunity
to support those in need and to be present in the lives of those who may not
otherwise have answers in an emergency or alternatives in a time of need.
As much as we tell our recipients about you, we wish to publicly express our
gratitude to the many community organizations and residents that have kept our
wheels turning and our boat floating.....
We would, therefore, like to thank the Junior Women's Club which has given
our requests and needs top priority. We would also like to express our heartfelt
thanks to St. Paul's Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Ramsey PTOs, Ramsey
Rotary, and the Mayor and Council for their support, without which we could not
fulfill our mission.
We would also like to thank the Knights of Columbus and Fire Department for
giving us space for our events and RAIA and the Phone Center for their support
and assistance. Similarly, we would like to thank the Department of Public Works
for all the assistance that they have lent throughout the years, including most
recently this past Saturday, during our Spring Cleaning event. We would also
like to express our appreciation for Fieldstone Gallery for its support and for
their sponsorship of the upcoming art show.
And, above all, we would like to thank each and every resident who has
contributed, whether it be money, services, or items, including the many
residents who have done so on an anonymous basis.
And so on behalf of Ramsey Responds, we wish to thank everyone sincerely for
making us the fortunate ones to say......" we can help " "what do you need" and
always see their reactions......smiles, joy on their faces and sometimes tears
of gratitude.....
Ramsey does respond and that is what makes this community
different.....special.....and a great place to live...................and so we
sincerely say a heartfelt 'THANK YOU ' for the chance to fulfill our goal.
Ramsey does respond...... and so many people benefit
