Our Mission

'It isn't easy to define Ramsey Responds.  You could call it a "niche" organization that helps people who have fallen through the cracks.  Or a Referral agency.  A non-profit an fund raising group, or a group that works with others to unify the community.  In fact, it's all of these things and more, and its members have been at is for almost five years now...' 'What is most noteworthy about Ramsey Responds is the degree to which such a loosely-knit organization can get so much good work done by taking advantage of all the organizations within a community.  In this way, Ramsey Responds serves not only to help families or individuals, but works to make the borough a place of greater connection and unity.'

Message from Harris M. Recht

Dear Residents,

There is a small volunteer group in town known as Ramsey Responds... not more than twenty or so core members, but so much more in reality,

In our own way, we reflect the goodness, generosity, cooperation, and kindness of the whole community. We are there to serve with affection, concern and commitment those whose lives have been threatened or altered by illness, job loss, divorce or other circumstances

Ramsey Responds is an organized group of residents providing confidential assistance to community members who find themselves in difficult situations,  To assist us with helping our residents in need, please call Ramsey Responds at
201-312-4843.  All calls are confidential.

Donations to Ramsey Responds are tax deductible, and all contributions are used to further the efforts of the Group in providing community assistance.  Please keep in mind that many employers offer a company match to their employees’ charitable contributions.  Ramsey Responds also welcomes assistance from student groups interested in performing community service.

And, above all, we would like to thank each and every resident who has contributed, whether it be money, services, or items, including the many residents who have done so on an anonymous basis.

And so on behalf of Ramsey Responds, we wish to thank everyone sincerely for making us the fortunate ones to say......" we can help " "what do you need" and always see their reactions......smiles, joy on their faces and sometimes tears of gratitude.....

Ramsey does respond and that is what makes this community different.....special.....and a great place to live...................and so we sincerely say a heartfelt 'THANK YOU ' for the chance to fulfill our goal.

Ramsey does respond...... and so many people benefit
