Donations are a major part of the Ramsey Responds organization. Cash donations as well as gift cards and certificates are solely used to get our families thru short or long term crisis and unexpected emergencies. They are tax deductible, and are used confidentially after determination by a committee review. It is always a heartwarming experience to acknowledge a personal need and be able to fulfill it. Gratitude and appreciation are always overwhelming and genuine.

Ramsey Responds too often has the need for good used furniture, including living room, bedroom sets {including beds of all sizes, bunks, trundles and hi risers] and dining room and kitchen sets. TV stands and entertainment centers as well as computer tables and computers are also accepted. Appliances such as microwaves, TV's, stereos, DVD players and kitchenware will often find a home. Smaller area rugs, lamps and other smaller pieces are also desirous. The furniture is assigned to the rather small apartments in the community, therefore on occasion, size may be a factor.

The items are picked up at your home at your convenience and if desired, a receipt for tax purposes can be given. We usually know of a new baby coming to the community, or children who are running low on baby equipment and clothing. Therefore cribs, bassinettes and the multitude of baby needs are assigned to area families as well. This aspect of our activity brings a two fold joy (one to the families who have poor quality or minimal belongings) and one to the donors as they realize their merchandise will be used with gratitude, right here in our community.
